Do you work hard so that you can enjoy your life outside of work?
I sure do! I know that feeling good and moving well can make or break being able to live life to the fullest. Whether you’re on your feet all day or sitting at a desk, my focus is on creating practical, personalized solutions that support lasting health and wellness.
My joy of movement started from a young age. I grew up in Prince Edward County on the Bay of Quinte which meant I was always outside and on the water. Whether I was boating, wakeboarding, fishing or swimming, I was always on the water! I’m happy to be close to the lake again as I have moved to Cobourg and work in the Kawarthas.
My family raised me to make the most of life and so I tried anything and everything – from soccer, hockey, and dance, to piano and guitar lessons. Seeing the world and experiencing new cultures was also really important to us, so we travelled a lot and still love to do so. When I’m not at work, I play soccer, go to workout classes, walk my dog to the beach, garden in my backyard, and of course, still try to find the time to watch my favourite TV series.
What I’m trying to say is – I know life is busy – and often BEST when busy!
I earned my Bachelor of Science in Human Kinetics from the University of Ottawa before completing my Doctor of Chiropractic degree summa cum laude at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College. During those many years of education, all while working different jobs, I suffered from headaches, neck and back pain. I know what it’s like to have to push through life with pain but I also know it is NOT how we make the most out of living.
I became a chiropractor because I want to help individuals feel their best, recover well when injuries happen, and prevent long lasting issues. I want to help you work health and wellness into your already busy schedule, so that you can continue to work, pick up your kids or grandkids, play your sports, go to your cottage, or do whatever you need to do to enjoy and make the most of life.
During your appointments with me you can expect a diverse and personalized approach that may include soft tissue therapy, mobilizations, spinal manipulation, rehab exercises, and acupuncture. My goal is to find the right combination of techniques that work for YOU, so you can feel better and keep moving without putting life on hold.
