Amanda Chambers
Registered Massage Therapist
When I first began studying massage therapy at Fleming College, I had no idea just how much this profession involved. Like many people, I thought massage was simply a relaxing spa experience. It didn’t take long for me to discover that massage therapy is so much more. Through over 330 hours of clinical experience, I developed a deep appreciation for the science of the human body and the many ways massage can support healing, reduce pain, improve movement, and help people feel like themselves again.
What I love most about being a Registered Massage Therapist is that every patient has a different story. Whether you’re recovering from an injury, dealing with persistent aches and pains, managing stress, or simply looking to move through life more comfortably, my goal is to create a space where you feel listened to, understood, and genuinely cared for. I believe treatment is about more than techniques—it’s about building trust and helping people feel supported throughout their health journey.
One of my favourite parts of this profession is that there is always more to learn. I’m passionate about continuing my education and expanding my skills so I can provide the best care possible, whether that means incorporating new treatment techniques, hydrotherapy, or evidence-informed approaches that help my patients reach their goals.
Outside the clinic, I’m someone who loves both creativity and quiet moments. You’ll often find me curled up with my Kindle reading everything from romance novels to non-fiction, or creating handcrafted jewellery for my small business while a good movie plays in the background. I’ve also had a lifelong fascination with communication and accessibility. Inspired by a childhood friendship, I learned braille at 13 years old and continue to braille children’s books to keep my skills sharp. One of my personal goals is to become Braille certified and learn American Sign Language.
When patients visit me, you’ll always find a welcoming, judgement-free space where conversation is encouraged—whether that’s talking about your health goals, your favourite book, an exciting hobby, or simply whatever is on your mind. I believe some of the best healing happens when people feel comfortable enough to truly be themselves.
In the summer, you’ll likely find me at my family’s cottage, a place that’s been part of my life since I was an infant and still holds some of my favourite memories. It’s where I recharge, spend time with family, and appreciate the slower pace of life.
I’m excited to be part of the Thrive Health team and look forward to helping you move better, feel better, and achieve your health goals.
