Tessa Mann
Physiotherapist
For a long time, I have been fascinated by the impact of movement and exercise and how they can heal both the body and mind. Being an avid horse rider and competing in jumping for many years, I have personally experienced the concept of using exercise as medicine. Healing from injuries this way and working in several physiotherapy clinics through high-school and university confirmed that I am definitely in a profession I am absolutely passionate about!
I completed my Master of Science in Physiotherapy at McMaster University in Hamilton and have had the privilege of gaining a wide range of experiences in orthopedics, neurological rehab, and cardiovascular rehab. I like to take a holistic approach in my treatment plans, identifying and treating the root cause to help you get back to doing what is most important to you.
I love to work with clients of all ages and abilities, taking an active approach to therapy through movement and exercise that is complimented by hands-on therapeutic techniques. My goal is not only to help you recover from any aches or pains but to empower you to find confidence in what your body can do through movement.
I love to work alongside my clients as a team, creating and working towards goals together, and celebrating every victory along the way!
I completed my Master of Science in Physiotherapy at McMaster University, but I was born and raised in Bowmanville. My husband, Kevin, introduced me to the beautiful County of Peterborough and I was excited to move here and live right on the water, something I never thought would be part of my life.
I am a horse fanatic and when not in the clinic, you will most likely find me in the barn or on the back of a horse! I love trying new recipes, staying active in the gym and enjoy spending time in the great outdoors.
What is something about you that usually surprises people?
My French heritage; my father and mother met in France and moved to Canada – the rest is history!
What’s one item on your bucket list?
Surfing in Hawaii
What’s your superhuman talent?
I have superhuman patience when it comes to catching frogs and turtles. Growing up, when at my family’s cottage I would sit for hours and hours at the lakeshore waiting to catch turtles and frogs.
